The KamerSnipe editorial team is responsible for our rental guide. We write and edit about the Dutch rental market, tenants' rights and finding a room or apartment. We do not name an individual author when that identity cannot be publicly verified.
The guides are deliberately practical and honest. Where rules or amounts change over time, we point to the official source instead of quoting figures that quickly go out of date.
Our editorial approach
- Practical and honest: we write for tenants, not for ourselves, and never promise anything untrue.
- Sources over assumptions: for rules, rights and amounts we link to the official authority.
- Kept current: every guide shows a visible 'updated' date and is revised when the rules change.
- Corrections welcome: if something is off, we fix it as soon as possible.
Sources we consult
For legal and financial topics we rely on official Dutch authorities, including the Rijksoverheid, the Huurcommissie and the Belastingdienst.
